Woman flees home over sex leaflet
A pensioner has been forced to flee her home after it was vandalised when leaflets saying a sex offender lived there were distributed in the area.

The 83-year-old woman has been forced to move from the house in Magdalen Road in Blurton where she has lived for 50 years as a result of the attack.

She was advised to leave by police for her own safety.

Police say the leaflets are malicious and fictitious and have urged anyone who has received one to hand them in.

Sgt Ian Goodwin said: "This is not just a prank and is not justifiable in any way.

"An innocent pensioner has been forced out of her home by someone spreading malicious information.

"It is important that we identify the culprits quickly to stop the spread of these leaflets so that the lady can return to her home in safety."

He urged members of the public who have received one to preserve them for examination by police and has appealed for information about the production and distribution of the literature.
