Woman, 46, found dead at house

Police are investigating the mysterious death of a woman at a house in Staffordshire.

Officers were called to an address in the Blackford area of Cannock at 1400 GMT on Saturday following a call from ambulance crews.

The woman, who has not been formally identified, was found dead at the scene.

The coroner has been informed and a post mortem examination was due to be carried out on Sunday.

A Staffordshire police spokesman said they were treating her death as unexplained and no more details would be released until the woman had been formally identified.
