Bald border collie seeks new home
Betsy the border collie
Betsy may have had scalding liquid poured over her
Staff at a dog's home are struggling to rehome a dog who is partially bald.

Betsy the border collie was found home alone locked in a tenth floor flat.

She is now among 40 other abandoned dogs at the Border Collie Trust in Rugeley, Staffordshire.

Jenny Booth, from the trust, said their vet believes Betsy may have had something poured over her.

"At first the vet thought she had mange but that has been eliminated," she said.

"The vet seems to think that someone has poured scalding liquid over her."

Betsy will undergo more tests so she can be treated for her condition.

Staff at the centre say she would be a friend for life for anyone who wants to give her a new home.
