A power cut left about 3,000 people in an East Sussex town without electricity on Tuesday evening.
EDF Energy said engineers were called to Bexhill at about 1900 GMT when the outage happened.
An hour later, power had been returned to most properties, but about 313 homes were still not connected.
The electricity company has apologised to customers who have been affected. A spokesman said the cause of the power cut was not yet known.
Thousands of homes in Kent were left without power after storms wreaked havoc last week.
Winds of up to 80mph (128km/h) damaged overhead electricity cables, leading to EDF drafting in extra staff to restore supplies.
