Sir Paul McCartney has a 933-acre estate in East Sussex

A planning dispute involving Sir Paul McCartney's East Sussex country estate appears to have finally been resolved after nearly a year.
The former Beatle was denied retrospective planning permission in January for a wooden lodge and lakeside pavilion he had built without consent.
Now he has signed a legal agreement with Rother District Council, pledging to demolish the lodge by next June.
Sir Paul will submit a new application to retain just the pavilion.
The 64-year-old originally put up the buildings for extra privacy at Woodlands Farm in Peasmarsh.
He had offered to pull down a detached house and two barns in his grounds in return for being allowed to keep the lodge and pavilion.
But he then withdrew that application, replacing it with the current proposal which was discussed by planning officials on Thursday.
The council said it would now not enforce the demolition of the two buildings, as Sir Paul had agreed to remove the two-bedroom lodge and submit a new retrospective planning application for the pavilion.
"We have reached a satisfactory conclusion to the matter," Frank Rallings, head of planning, said.
