A large firefighting presence stopped the blaze from spreading
Firefighters have tackled a major blaze in a barn at a farm in West Sussex.

The county's fire service said several hundred tonnes of organic hay and straw had been well alight from Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The fire service said the blaze could be seen "for miles around". It broke out at Copse Farm in Tangmere, near Chichester. No-one was injured.

Six fire engines attended the scene and the blaze has been allowed to burn out after being brought under control.
