Friends and former colleagues of the late Blue Peter presenter Caron Keating have gathered to celebrate the marriage of her widowed husband.

Russ Lindsay married former GMTV weather girl Sally Meen in a civil ceremony at the 400-year-old Great Fosters Hotel in Egham, Surrey.

Ms Keating, the daughter of TV presenter Gloria Hunniford, died from breast cancer two years ago, aged 41.

Her sons with Mr Lindsay, Charlie, 12, and Gabriel, nine, were at the wedding.

They joined their father and his new bride as they posed for press photographers after the ceremony.

Ms Keating's fellow Blue Peter presenter, Janet Ellis, was among the guests, who also included Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, Phillip Schofield and Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

Best man, former BBC Radio 1 DJ Peter Powell, said Ms Meen had shed a tear during the ceremony and would be making her own speech at the reception along with her father and husband.

Ms Hunniford, who wrote a best-selling book about her daughter's battle with cancer, was not at the ceremony.
