Police investigating an attack on a woman in a Royal Park in Surrey have been granted more time to question a 50-year-old man arrested on Wednesday.
The man, who comes from Runnymede, is being questioned on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The 47-year-old local woman suffered minor cuts to the head when she was hit with a weapon at Virginia Water Lake, part of Windsor Great Park, on Tuesday.
The attack happened in the area of the Canadian Totem Pole at 1340 BST.
The victim was taken to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey and discharged the same day.
