Turkish 'illegal immigrants' held

Nine men claiming to be from Turkey are due to be interviewed by immigration officials after they were found in the back of a lorry in West Sussex.

The suspected illegal immigrants were arrested on Tuesday morning in Whittle Way, Crawley.

Police were called by the lorry's driver who heard banging from inside his trailer after picking it up from the port at Newhaven, in East Sussex.

It is believed the trailer had come from France overnight.
