Gambia victim's body brought home
Kate and William West
Kate West said she knocked her husband out and burnt his body
The body of an elderly man murdered in Africa is being flown back to England by officers from Sussex Police.

William West, 76, from Hastings in East Sussex, was killed in Gambia, and his burnt body then left in a bag near his holiday home in the resort of Sanyang.

His wife Kate, 26, has pleaded guilty in court to his murder.

A Sussex Police team who have been aiding the Gambian authorities' inquiry are due back in England with Mr West's body on Saturday.

Det Supt Chris Gillings, Det Insp Paul Phelps and a senior forensics officer were asked by the Gambian police to help with some forensic and investigative work.

Three other men have denied Mr West's murder.
