Pedestrian killed crossing road
A 50-year-old woman has been knocked down and killed as she crossed the A259 in West Sussex.

The victim was hit by a silver VW Golf near the Royal Coach pub in Shoreham on Tuesday evening.

She was taken to hospital where she later died from her injuries. A 35-year-old man from Worthing who was driving the car was uninjured.

Police have urged anyone who witnessed the accident at about 1810 GMT to contact them.
