A youth convicted of charges linked to a crash in St Leonards, East Sussex, in which five teenagers died, has been ordered to attend a police-run course.
The 14-year-old boy pleaded guilty to allowing himself to be carried in a Metro car knowing it had been stolen.
He also admitted breaching a curfew banning him from leaving his home on the night of the crash last October.
Under the Attendance Centre Order he must undergo discipline and physical training along with social skills.
Marked police vehicle
The youth, who cannot be named, was sentenced at Hastings Magistrates' Court.
He was not in the car at the time of the crash, but had been a passenger in it earlier that evening.
Kelly Goring, 17, Daniel Carwardine and Danielle Martin, both 16, Barrie Mackay, 15, and Lee Morgan, 14, died in the crash in Battle Road, St Leonards.
The accident happened in October 2005 when the driver lost control and collided with three walls, a lamppost and a parked car.
It crashed minutes after being spotted by a marked police vehicle.
The theft had been reported to police after it was believed to have struck a cyclist.
The crash is still being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
