Fatal motorcycle crash man named
A motorcyclist who died after his bike left the road and hit a sign has been named as Christopher Swann, 41, from Hastings, East Sussex.

He was killed after attending the Hastings annual May Day motorbike rally on Bank Holiday Monday.

The accident happened in the afternoon on the A21 Ebdens Hill, at its junction with the A28 near Hastings.

Mr Swann was taken to the Conquest Hospital, St Leonards-on-Sea, where he died from his injuries.

He was riding south on his Honda bike and police are appealing for witnesses, particularly the driver of a car towing a caravan who was heading north.

Insp Natalie Carron, from Sussex Police, said: "We had to deal with accidents involving a small number of the many thousands of riders who attended [the motorcycle rally] and it is tragic that one person lost their life as they returned home."
