McDonald's murder case in court

Jackie Marshall had worked for McDonald's for 15 years
A man has appeared in court charged with stabbing a grandmother to death as she supervised a lunchtime children's party at a McDonald's restaurant.

Jackie Marshall, 57, died at the fast food outlet in Terminus Road, Chichester, West Sussex, on 16 April.

Ex-McDonald's employee Shane Freer, 20, of First Avenue, Batchmere, West Sussex, was remanded in custody.

He is charged with one count of murder. The case at Lewes Crown Court was adjourned until 24 June.

Ms Marshall, of Southbourne, had worked at McDonald's for 15 years.
