Teenager badly injured in crash

The car hit a lamppost on Sedlescombe Road North
A teenager suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Hastings in the early hours of Sunday.

The man, 18, was a front seat passenger in a Ford Escort which collided with a lamp-post on Sedlescombe Road North.

Sussex Police said he was trapped in the car for more than an hour after the crash which happened at about 3am, near the junction with Thomas Brassey Close.

He was taken to the Conquest Hospital with what police described as life-threatening pelvis and leg injuries.
