Dirty Dancing lands pair in court

Bill Medley sang I've Had The Time Of My Life with Jennifer Warnes
Two fans of the film Dirty Dancing have been fined 1,000 for playing its soundtrack so loudly it made their neighbours' walls shake.

Brighton magistrates heard Linda Smith, 40, and her son Lewis Evans, 18, kept playing "I've Had The Time Of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

They had already been served with a noise abatement notice after complaints from neighbours in Sanyhils Avenue.

The pair pleaded guilty to breaching the notice in court on Thursday.

As well as the 1,000 fine, Smith and Evans were ordered to pay 1,146 in costs.
