Ex-Dome boss unveils marina plans
Plans for Brighton Marina by Parkridge Developments
Previous plans for the marina have included a 37-storey tower
The future of Brighton Marina was being unveiled on Tuesday by one of its new owners - Pierre-Yves Gerbeau, former chief executive of the Millennium Dome.

Mr Gerbeau, who is also known as PY, and his firm X-Leisure took a £65m stake in the facelift of the site at the beginning of August.

On Tuesday he was to reveal how he wants to develop entertainment facilities on the 20-acre site.

Previous plans for the site have included a 37-storey tower.

A scheme announced in May by property firm Brunswick Developments involved the tower, a total of 1,000 new apartments, and bars and restaurants in 17 different waterfront buildings.

In August Mr Gerbeau signed a deal with Parkridge Developments - the firm responsible for the retail and leisure elements of the marina site.

X-Leisure already owns 4.25 million square feet of leisure space over 18 sites in the UK, including casinos, restaurants, bars and health and fitness centres.
