The council said fines were given if badges were not displayed correctly

A disabled woman says she is angry after being issued with a parking ticket because she displayed her permit the wrong way round.
Lina Bushnell was given a ticket after she parked in Brighton to go shopping.
She displayed her disabled badge but put it the wrong way round so the serial number was not showing.
As a result she had to pay a £30 fine but disabled campaigners in the city say the badges are confusing and the system should be changed.

It is obvious I have a disabled badge

Mrs Bushnell said: "I feel they are just looking at it that somebody has put their badge in the wrong way round rather than saying this was a genuine mistake.
"It is obvious I have a disabled badge."
Another woman Sue White was also given a parking ticket after driving her disabled mother to hospital in Brighton and displaying the badge the wrong way round.
But in her case Brighton and Hove City Council let her off the fine.
The city council said if a disabled badge is not displayed correctly showing the serial number, which proves it is valid, a ticket is issued in case the system is being abused.
Brighton and Hove's Federation for the Disabled said the rules should be made clearer.
