Man stabbed for kicking dog
A man was stabbed to death in East Sussex after trying to kick another man's dog, a court has heard.

Brian Charman, 33, denies murdering 37-year-old Andrew Wynd by attacking him with a filleting knife.

The attack happened during a late night argument at Mr Wynd's home last July, Lewes Crown Court heard on Wednesday.

The jury was told how Mr Wynd, of London Road, St Leonards, East Sussex, died a week later from his wounds.

Mr Charman, of Warrior Square, St Leonards, told police Mr Wynd had tried to kick his dog before punching him.

He said that being punched he lashed out once with a knife he carried for protection and stabbed Mr Wynd in the arm.

The trial continues.
