Dead man was sex charge teacher
A man found dead on a beach was a teacher accused of sex offences against a girl pupil, it has emerged.

Nigel Foster's body was found on Tuesday at Fleetwood, Lancashire.

Mr Foster, 48, from Westfield, near Hastings in East Sussex, had gone missing from a Blackpool hotel on 26 March.

It has emerged he was facing several charges relating to offences against a 15-year-old girl from the school where he worked.

Released on bail

Mr Foster had appeared at Hastings Magistrates' Court the day before his disappearance charged with unlawful sexual intercourse, indecent assault, abuse of a position of trust and making an indecent photograph of a child under 16.

He had been released on conditional bail and was due to appear before the court again in May.

Lancashire Police said an inquest into his death was due to be opened in Blackpool on Friday.

After his body was found they said his death was not being treated as suspicious.
