Murder charge over woman's death

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of a woman in Rotherham.

Kerry Sneddon, 36, a mother of two, was found injured at a property in the town's Whybourne Grove on Sunday.

She was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital where she died in the early hours of Monday.

Jason O'Malley, 41, of Whybourne Grove, was remanded by Sheffield magistrates to appear at the city's crown court on 19 November.
