Man held over mother-of-two death

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in South Yorkshire at the weekend.

Kerry Sneddon, 36, a mother of two young children, was found injured at a property on Whybourne Grove, Rotherham, at about 2330 GMT on Sunday.

She died at Rotherham District General Hospital in the early hours of Monday.

A 41-year-old man has been arrested and remains in custody. Police appealed to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on Sunday to come forward.
