Look North footage shows the extent of the damage at the scene

People who took photographs or recorded video at the scene of an arson which left a man critically ill have been urged to contact police.

Timothy Derby is said to be in a life-threatening condition in a specialist burns unit after the fire in Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, on Bonfire Night.

Police said Mr Derby, 37, of Langsett Road, Sheffield, was found "engulfed in flames" in a first-floor office.

Detectives hope mobile phone recordings may provide them with clues.

Det Supt Colin Fisher said he was investigating why the premises were targeted.

He said: "I know there were a number of people near to the scene around the time of the fire and would urge anyone who was there to make contact with us.

"I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have recorded images on mobile phones."
