Detectives investigating the death of a 20-year-old woman in South Yorkshire are trying to trace the movements of a car seen in the area.

Michelle Greenwood, 20, of Knottingley, West Yorkshire, was carried to Thorne police station in Doncaster "in a collapsed state" on Saturday.

She died hours later at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary. Post-mortem tests showed she had been strangled.

The movements of a black Citroen Saxo, YS52 VUJ, are being investigated.

Jason Marley, 28, of Church Road, Stainforth, near Doncaster, was remanded by Doncaster magistrates charged with Ms Greenwood's death.

He will next appear before a judge at Sheffield Crown Court on 13 October.

Now officers investigating the death want to trace the movements of the Citroen in the Fishlake or Thorne area of Doncaster in the early hours of last Saturday.

The car has tinted windows and Playboy rabbit logos at either side of the registration plate.
