Police station closed after death

A police station in South Yorkshire has been sealed off as part of inquiries into a woman's death.

A man brought the woman, who had collapsed, to Thorne police station in Doncaster just before 0400 BST.

South Yorkshire Police said she was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where she died at 0545 BST.

Police said the man was helping officers with their inquiries and efforts were being made to try to trace the woman's family.

The station on Durham Close is closed and police have also sealed off the junction between Selby Road and Ferry Road.
