The family of a 15-year-old boy, who was electrocuted while climbing an electricity pylon in South Yorkshire, has set a date for his funeral.

Michael O'Nion died in woods off Hollins Lane, Sunnyside, near Rotherham on Sunday. The cables attached to the pylon carry 66,000 volts.

South Yorkshire Police said the funeral would be held on 25 September at St Francis Church in Bramley.

A post-mortem examination revealed Michael died from electrocution.

Police said the teenager, who lived in Sunnyside, was a pupil at Wickersley Comprehensive school.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
