Nine people arrested over the death of a 15-year-old boy in South Yorkshire have been released on bail.

Emergency services were called to a property in Tickhill Road in the Maltby area of Rotherham just after 0130 BST.

The boy found there was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A force spokesman the boy's death was not as a result of violence.

South Yorkshire Police said six men and three women had been quizzed over the death and released.

"Once the post mortem has been concluded, we will be evaluating subsequent toxicology reports."

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Monday.
