A 19-year-old man arrested over the murder of a teenager in Sheffield has been released without charge.

Police said inquiries were continuing into the death of Tarek Chaiboub, 17, who was shot dead in a barber's shop on Spital Street in Burngreave on 11 July.

Detectives investigating the murder said a 20-year-old man had been charged over a different incident on 6 July.

Michael Chattoo, of Upperthorpe, will appear before magistrates later, charged with wounding with intent.

Six people, including a 13-year-old boy, were arrested on Friday in connection with Tarek's death.

The 13-year-old, two 17-year-old boys and a woman in her 20s, were released on bail at the weekend.

Police have said Tarek's murder could have been gang-related.

A handgun was found near his body and detectives are still trying to establish whether Tarek had been carrying the weapon.

Officers confirmed they still had not recovered the murder weapon.
