Two men held over fatal stabbing

Police at the crime scene
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out later

A teenager has died in a stabbing in South Yorkshire.

He was found on the pavement on Bainbridge Road in Balby, Doncaster, after police were called to reports of a disturbance in the early hours.

The 19-year-old, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

South Yorkshire Police said two men in their 20s had been arrested in connection with the killing and were being questioned by detectives.

A spokesman said: "The investigation is in its early stages but police believe it could be domestic related."

A post-mortem examination showed the teenager died from a single stab wound to the chest.

He has not been named because not all relatives have been informed, a force spokesman added.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
