Doctor charged with sex assaults
A South Yorkshire doctor has been charged with sexually assaulting four female patients.

Dr Parag Janakray Bhatt, 43, is alleged to have committed the offences between January and August 2007.

At the time he was working as a GP at Rosehill Medical Centre, in Rosehill Road, Rawmarsh, Rotherham.

Dr Bhatt is due to appear before Rotherham magistrates on Thursday. He has not practised as a GP since the allegations were made last August.

In a joint statement, South Yorkshire Police and Rotherham Primary Care Trust said Dr Bhatt had not been practising in Rotherham or anywhere else.

They said: "Since the allegations came to light Dr Bhatt has been subject to strict conditions on registration by the General Medical Council."
