City road closed after bomb find
Traffic is diverted off Parkway
The closure caused traffic to grind to a halt in parts of the city
A major route into Sheffield was closed after an unexploded wartime bomb was found in the centre of the carriageway.

A workman made the discovery at 1500 BST during road works on the Parkway near the A57 turn off between Prince of Wales Road and Handsworth.

The road was sealed off in both directions and traffic was diverted, causing delays for motorists.

An Army bomb disposal team from Nottingham made the World War II bomb safe and Parkway has no reopened.
