Passenger numbers soar at airport

New winter routes will be introduced this year
The number of travellers at Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport has risen by 23% in the last year.

New figures show that August was the busiest month with 132,000 more passengers compared to the same time last year.

The most popular routes included flights to Dublin, Palma, Malaga, Jersey and Alicante.

New flights to destinations such as Sharm el Sheikh, Poznan and Wroclaw will be introduced in the winter.
