Railway station to get facelift
Rail commuters in South Yorkshire are to benefit from a 1m upgrade of Bolton on Dearne station.

Platforms will be rebuilt, new waiting shelters and fencing will be installed, and platform lighting will be renewed, Network Rail said.

Work begins on Sunday and is scheduled to last until 18 November. It will be carried out when no trains are running to minimise disruption to travellers.

Network Rail said: "It will bring real benefits to all who use the station."
