Road accidents claim three lives
Three people have died in two separate road accidents in South Yorkshire.

Two 23-year-old Sheffield men were killed when their car collided head-on with a minibus in Pleasley Road, Rotherham on Wednesday afternoon.

The minibus driver, a 48-year-old woman from Brampton Bierlow, near Rotherham, suffered minor injuries.

Later that evening, an 88-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a Mercedes van as she crossed Church Road, in Stainforth, Doncaster.

The woman, who has not been named but is from the Stainforth area, suffered chest and head injuries in the collision and died at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
