Teenager found dead in scrap yard
Jamie Hatfield
Jamie's family said he was a "fantastic, fun-loving" person
The body of an 18-year-old man has been found at a scrap yard.

Jamie Hatfield, of Mexborough, had spent Friday night out with friends. His body was found at the yard near Leach Lane in the town on Saturday.

A post-mortem examination showed he died from a fall and subsequent injuries, a force spokeswoman said.

In a statement issued by police, the teenager's family described him as a "fantastic, fun-loving young man with a great future ahead of him".

They said: "He was very popular and well-loved in and around the Mexborough area.

"This is a tragic loss of life in such a tragic incident. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends."

An inquest into the teenager's death will be opened in Doncaster on Wednesday.
