Improvements have been made to Sheffield's tram system following an accident in which a man was badly hurt, rail investigators have said.
A pedestrian was hit by a tram on an official crossing point last October.
The investigators said tram drivers' views of pedestrians near the crossings needed to be improved.
Their report on the incident said this was now being implemented along with other measures including an audible safety warning from trams at crossings.
There were about 20 passengers on the tram when it hit the pedestrian on the official crossing at the Staniforth-Woodbourn road junction last year.
The pedestrian was hurled some distance and seriously injured. No-one on the train was hurt.
