Man in two-hour tram rescue drama
A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with a leg injury following a two-hour operation to free him from underneath a tram in Sheffield.

The Supertram's specialist lift team was used to help jack up the tram which had struck the man in Attercliffe on Wednesday night.

About 20 firefighters, police officers and paramedics were also involved in the rescue on Shirland Lane.

Trams were back running as normal on Thursday morning.

The man is now recovering in hospital in Sheffield.
