A teenager suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a tram in Sheffield.
South Yorkshire Police say the 19-year-old was hit by the vehicle as he crossed the tracks at the Staniforth Road junction with Woodbourn Road.
Police say it was reported the man was at an official crossing point when the accident happened on Thursday afternoon.
He was taken to the Northern General Hospital and then transferred to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the accident and would like to speak to passengers on a Yorkshire Terrier bus service travelling on route 52 that was stopped at traffic lights when the accident happened.
