Mother begs grave vandals to stop
Broken ornament from Leah's grave
Ornaments from Leah's grave have been smashed and toys stolen
A mother whose child's grave is being repeatedly desecrated by vandals has urged them to stop their attacks.

After a long fight against cancer, Christina Morris' daughter Leah Watson died two years ago from a brain tumour.

Since then ornaments placed on the eight-year-old's grave at Warmsworth Cemetery in Guest Lane, Doncaster have been repeatedly stolen or smashed.

"They just won't leave her alone," said Miss Morris. "She should be able to rest in peace, she's suffered enough."

South Yorkshire Police are investigating the matter after a spate of attacks in the past two months.

Lovable child

"It's a pattern that just won't stop," Miss Morris said.

"We took Leah's ornaments off for a while and stopped putting any more on hoping that would stop it and it did.

"Then we put things back on and it started again.

"We've done nothing wrong to anybody and Leah definitely wouldn't have done anything to anybody, she was a lovely person. Everybody loved her."
