Post office to be run from church
A South Yorkshire community has rallied to prevent its post office from disappearing.

The village post office in Higham, near Barnsley, recently closed as part of an ongoing rural closure scheme.

But it is due to open again in a few days, operating for two days a week inside Higham Methodist Church's coffee lounge in Higham Green Road.

It follows a similar scheme at nearby Blacker Hill where a limited service is run at the community centre.
