Cyclist dies in police car crash
A cyclist has died after a collision with a police car in South Yorkshire.

The man, who is believed to be in his early 40s, was cycling towards Hellaby at 1210 BST when the accident happened on Rotherham Road in Maltby.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital in Rotherham. Two officers inside the car were treated for shock and minor injuries.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has been informed about the incident.

The road was closed for about four hours while investigations into the accident took place on Sunday morning.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for help to identify the man.

He is described as white, with a medium build, brown hair and tattoos on both arms.
