New waiting room for city station
Planning permission has been granted for a new waiting room at Sheffield station as the latest stage in the redevelopment of the building.

The new facility, which has been approved by city councillors, will be between platforms six and eight, next to the Pumpkin Cafe.

More than £50m is being invested in the station and the surrounding area.

Councillor Tim Rippon said the design and materials used would be appropriate for the grade II listed building.
