Huge hunt for missing criminals

You can run, but you can't hide, police tell the criminals

A huge arrest blitz is being carried out by Humberside Police in the Grimsby area as officers target bail jumpers, serial offenders and criminal suspects.

The force is drawing staff from every department back on to the front line to take part in the purge.

Crime suspects have been sent letters by police warning them that unless they give themselves up officers will arrest them at work or wherever they are seen.

Some offenders have already contacted police after opening their mail.
