A firefighter from West Yorkshire is hoping luck will be with him when he takes part in the Firefighter World Poker Championships.
Kevin Spencer, from Wakefield, has been practising the card game on the internet for the last five months and will play for real on Friday.
He will be fighting for the gold medal against 64 other firefighters.
Competitors from all over the world will be taking part in the event which will be held in Sheffield.
