Fallen walker saved by pet dog
A 73-year-old man from Sheffield has been rescued from a 30ft ravine by his pet dog.

Keith Dunn was walking his Alsatian along a footpath in Fir Vale on Friday night when he lost his footing and fell to the bottom.

The dog then went back home and led firefighters straight to his master.

Sub officer Andy Taylor said: "The dog had eventually returned home, and when he returned home without his owner his wife raised the alarm."

Mrs Dunn called police who came to their home in Crabtree Road and followed the Alsatian to the accident scene.

Mr Dunn is now recovering in hospital following his ordeal.
