Customer service company Ventura plans to create 1,000 new jobs at its call centre in South Yorkshire, it has been announced.

The firm is expanding its operation in the Dearne Valley, Rotherham, after successfully attracting new clients.

Ventura already manages customer services for the likes of Barclays Bank, Freeserve, O2 and Sainsburys.

A major recruitment drive is now being launched in South Yorkshire for the new call centre staff.

The company is promising flexible working hours and a variety of benefits to ensure they attract the right people.

Human Resources director Kate Marsden said: "These new jobs have been designed to help employees manage today's 'work-life balance'.

"Working parents, for example, can balance work and childcare, as well as pursue a career that offers opportunities for promotion."

Ventura employs approximately 3,500 across its four sites in the UK.
