New image of missing Ben

No trace of Ben has been found since his disappearance in 1991
A computer-generated image of a British boy who disappeared in Greece 12 years ago has been issued showing how he might look now.

Ben Needham vanished aged 21-months on the island of Kos on 24 July 1991 after his family moved to the island from Sheffield.

A new image of Ben has now been digitally created as the 12th anniversary of his disappearance approaches.

The picture was compiled by the Metropolitan Police facial imaging team on behalf of the Police National Missing Person's Bureau.

The techniques used included taking photographs of other family members to determine how aged facial features may look.

Despite a number of possible sightings and a range of theories about what happened to him no trace of the youngster has ever been found.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said they had "not given up hope" of tracing Ben.

Ben's 14th birthday is on 14 October 2003.

He has a strawberry type birth mark in the nape of his neck.
