Robber's stab threat to cashier

A robber told a cashier at a store in Somerset that he would stab her unless she handed over cash from the till.

The man went into the Marks & Spencer store on King Street in Frome at about 1515 GMT on Friday.

He told the till operator to "open the drawer and don't panic" before making the threat to stab her if she did not cooperate.

An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the man fled from the store.

The offender is described as a white man in his late 30s or early 40s with short dark hair.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
