New owners for city music venue

Moles Club in Bath
The building also houses a recording studio

One of Bath's live music venues and recording studios has changed hands after more than 30 years.

Moles Club in George Street has played host to many bands on their way to stardom, including Radiohead, Blur, Pulp, Primal Scream and Deacon Blue.

New owners Sybil Bell and Ric Yerbury said they wanted to extend live music to seven days a week.

Ms Bell said the club planned to broaden the choice of artists and styles of music.

As well as hosting live music, Moles' studio has seen artists such as Spiritualized and Portishead record albums there.

The 2009 Mercury Prize-nominated album by The Horrors was also recorded at the studio.
