Funeral for swimmer lost at sea

The funeral of a man who died after going swimming at night off the coast of North Somerset has been held.

Dave Ellams and his friend Lee Tompkins, both 34, went missing on 23 June after deciding to go into the water near Weston-super-Mare.

Emergency services were called to the scene but were unable to find them.

Their bodies were recovered a few days later near the Welsh coast. Mr Ellam's funeral took place at Weston-super-Mare Crematorium on Friday 10 July.
